حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، قَالَ: جَاءَنَا أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحُوَيْرِثِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِنَا، فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُصَلِّي، وَمَا أُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَلَكِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي، قَالَ: فَقَعَدَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الْآخِرَةِ .

Abu Sulaiman Malik bin al-Huwairth رضی اللہ عنہ came to our mosque, and said: By Allah, I Shall offer prayer, though I do not intend to pray; I only intend to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم praying. The narrator said: ( He then prayed and ) he sat at the end of the first rak’ah when he raised his head after the last prostration.

ابو سلیمان مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ عنہ ہماری مسجد میں آئے، انہوں نے کہا: قسم اللہ کی! میں نماز پڑھوں گا مگر میرے پیش نظر نماز پڑھنا نہیں ہے بلکہ میں چاہتا ہوں کہ میں تمہیں دکھاؤں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کس طرح نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے؟ ابوقلابہ کہتے ہیں: پھر وہ پہلی رکعت میں بیٹھے جس وقت انہوں نے اپنا سر دوسرے سجدے سے اٹھایا۔
