I used to sleep with my legs in front of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم when he would offer his prayer at night (i.e. tahajjud prayer offered towards the end of the night. ). When he prostrated himself he struck my legs, and I drew them up and he then prostrated.

تم لوگوں نے بہت برا کیا کہ ہم عورتوں کو گدھے اور کتے کے برابر ٹھہرا دیا، حالانکہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ نماز پڑھتے تھے اور میں آپ کے سامنے عرض میں لیٹی رہتی تھی، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سجدہ کرنے کا ارادہ کرتے تو میرا پاؤں دبا دیتے، میں اسے سمیٹ لیتی پھر آپ سجدہ کرتے۔
