حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشَ عَنْ حَدِيثِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ فِي الصُّفُوفِ الْمُقَدَّمَةِ، فَحَدَّثَنَا،عَنْ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَلَا تَصُفُّونَ كَمَا تَصُفُّ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ؟ قُلْنَا: وَكَيْفَ تَصُفُّ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ؟ قَالَ: يُتِمُّونَ الصُّفُوفَ الْمُقَدَّمَةَ وَيَتَرَاصُّونَ فِي الصَّفِّ .

The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: Why do you stand in rows as the angels do in the presence of their Lord? We asked: how do the angles stand in rows in the presence of their Lord? He replied: they make the first row complete and keep close together in the row.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم لوگ اس طرح صف بندی کیوں نہیں کرتے جس طرح فرشتے اپنے رب کے پاس کرتے ہیں؟ ، ہم نے عرض کیا: فرشتے اپنے رب کے پاس کس طرح صف بندی کرتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پہلے اگلی صف پوری کرتے ہیں اور صف میں ایک دوسرے سے خوب مل کر کھڑے ہوتے ہیں ۔
