Should I not tell you how the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم led the prayer? کیا میں تم کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز نہ بتاؤں؟ آپ نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے، پہلے مردوں کی صف لگوائی، ان کے پیچھے بچوں کی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں نماز پڑھائی۔ پھر ابومالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے آپ کی نماز کی کیفیت بیان کی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( میری امت کی ) نماز اسی طرح ہے ۔ عبدالاعلیٰ کہتے ہیں کہ میں یہی سمجھتا ہوں کہ آپ نے میری امت کی نماز فرمایا۔
