Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni sent him to Abu Juhaim to ask him what he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about passing in front of the one who is pray the one who crosses in front of someone who is praying only knew what (sin) would be upon him, then were he to wait forty, it would be better for him than to pass in front of him." Abu An-Nadr (one of the narrators) said: "I do not know whether he said forty days, or months, or years." The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: If one who passes in front of a man who is praying knew the responsibility he incurs, he would prefer to stand still for forty. . . rather than pass in front of him. Abu al-Nadr said: I do not know whether he said forty days, or months, or years. Abu Dawud: Sufyan al-Thawri said: If a man passes proudly in front of me while I am praying, I shall stop him, and if a weak man passes, I shall not stop him.

انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مصلی کے آگے سے گزرنے والے کے بارے میں کیا سنا ہے؟ تو ابوجہیم رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: اگر مصلی کے سامنے سے گزرنے والا یہ جان لے کہ اس پر کس قدر گناہ ہے، تو اس کو مصلی کے سامنے گزرنے سے چالیس ( دن یا مہینے یا سال تک ) وہیں کھڑا رہنا بہتر لگتا ۔ ابونضر کہتے ہیں: مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ انہوں نے چالیس دن کہا یا چالیس مہینے یا چالیس سال۔ اگر کوئی شخص میرے سامنے سے نماز پڑھتے ہوئے تکبر سے گزرے تو میں اسے روکوں گا اور اگر کوئی کمزور گزرے تو میں اسے نہیں روکوں گا۔
