The Friday and the ‘id prayers synchronized during the time of Ibn al-Zubair رضی اللہ عنہما . He said: Two festivals (‘id and Friday) synchronized on the same day. He combined them and offered two rak’ahs in the morning and did not add anything to them until he offered the afternoon prayer.

عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما کے زمانے میں جمعہ اور عید دونوں ایک ہی دن اکٹھا ہو گئے تو آپ نے کہا: ایک ہی دن میں دونوں عیدیں اکٹھا ہو گئی ہیں، پھر آپ نے دونوں کو ملا کر صبح کے وقت صرف دو رکعت پڑھ لی، اس سے زیادہ نہیں پڑھی یہاں تک کہ عصر پڑھی ۔
