Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat) • Hadith 413

We came upon Anas bin Malik رضی اللہ عنہ after the Zuhr prayer. He stood for saying the Asr prayer. When he became free from praying, we mentioned to him about observing prayer in its early period or he himself mentioned it. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: This is how hypocrites pray, this is how hypocrites pray, this is how hypocrites pray: He sits (watching the sun), and when it becomes yellow and is between the horns of the devil, or is on the horns of the devil, he rises and prays for rak'ahs quickly, remembering Allah only seldom during them.

ہم ظہر کے بعد انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آئے تو دیکھا کہ وہ عصر پڑھنے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے ہیں، جب وہ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ہم نے نماز کے جلدی ہونے کا ذکر کیا یا خود انہوں نے اس کا ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: یہ منافقوں کی نماز ہے، یہ منافقوں کی نماز ہے، یہ منافقوں کی نماز ہے کہ آدمی بیٹھا رہے یہاں تک کہ جب سورج زرد ہو جائے اور وہ شیطان کی دونوں سینگوں کے بیچ ہو جائے یا اس کی دونوں سینگوں پر ہو جائےتو اٹھے اور چار ٹھونگیں لگا لے اور اس میں اللہ کا ذکر صرف تھوڑا سا کرے ۔
