حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ مِخْرَاقٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُور بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ، قَالَ: فَجَاءَتْ جَارِيَتَانِ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اقْتَتَلَتَا فَأَخَذَهُمَا، قَالَ عُثْمَانُ: فَفَرَّعَ بَيْنَهُمَا، وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ: فَنَزَعَ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَنِ الْأُخْرَى فَمَا بَالَى ذَلِكَ.

Then two girls from Banu Abdul-Muttalib came fighting together. He caught them. Uthman (a narrator) said: He separated them. And Dawud (another narrator) said: He pulled away from the other, but he paid no attention to that.

بنی عبدالمطلب کی دو لڑکیاں لڑتی ہوئی آئیں، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان دونوں کو پکڑ لیا، عثمان کی روایت میں یہ بھی ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پکڑ کر دونوں کو جدا کر دیا۔ اور داود بن مخراق کہتے ہیں کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک کو دوسرے سے جدا کر دیا، اور اس کی کچھ پرواہ نہ کی۔
