حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ نَحْنُ وَالنِّسَاءُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ نُدْلِي فِيهِ أَيْدِيَنَا.

We (men) and women during the life-time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to perform ablution from one vessel. We all put our hands in it.
