حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَنُّ وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلَانِ، أَحَدُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْآخَرِ، فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي فَضْلِ السِّوَاكِ أَنْ كَبِّرْ أَعْطِ السِّوَاكَ أَكْبَرَهُمَا .

The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was using the tooth-stick, when two men, one older than the other, were with him. A revelation came to him about the merit of using the tooth-stick. He was asked to show proper respect and give it to the elder of the two.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسواک کر رہے تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس دو آدمی تھے، ان میں ایک دوسرے سے عمر میں بڑا تھا، اسی وقت اللہ نے مسواک کی فضیلت میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر وحی نازل فرمائی اور حکم ہوا کہ آپ اپنی مسواک ان دونوں میں سے بڑے کو دے دیجئیے۔
