حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ هُوَ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الثَّقَفِيِّ أَوِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَالَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَنْتَضِحُ ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: وَافَقَ سُفْيَانَ جَمَاعَةٌ عَلَى هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، وقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: الْحَكَمُ، أَوْ ابْنُ الْحَكَمِ.

When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم urinated, he performed ablution and sprinkled water on private parts of the body. Abu Dawud said: A group of scholars agreed with Sufyan upon this chain of narrators. Some have mentioned the name of Sufyan bin al-Hakam, and others al-Hakam bin Sufyan.

جب بھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب پیشاب کرتے تو وضو کرتے، اور ( وضو کے بعد ) شرمگاہ پر ( تھوڑا ) پانی چھڑک لیتے۔ ابوداؤد نے کہا:سفیان اور ایک گروہ نے اس سلسلہ روایت پر اتفاق کیا اور ان میں سے بعض نے کہا: الحکم، یا ابن الحکم۔
