حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ كانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيصْمُتْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ جَارَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ».

The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed: He who believes in Allah and the Last Day should either utter good words or better keep silence; and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbour with kindness and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest.

آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ جو کوئی اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہے ، وہ خیر کی بات کہے یا خاموش رہے ۔ اور جو شخص اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان پر ایمان رکھتا ہے ، وہ اپنے پڑوسی کا احترام کرے ۔ اور جو آدمی اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہے ، وہ اپنے مہمان کی عزت کرے ۔ ‘ ‘
