حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهَا، تَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ، قَالَ: غُفْرَانَكَ .

I heard my father say: 'I entered upon 'Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا , and I heard her say: When the Messenger of Allah exited the toilet, he would say: Ghufranaka (I seek Your forgiveness).' (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.

میں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آیا تو ان کو کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب پاخانہ سے نکلتے تو کہتے:«غفرانك» یعنی: اے اللہ! میں تیری بخشش چاہتا ہوں ۔
