The Book of Purification • Hadith 76

HadithAPI (English)

It was narrated that Anas said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when the time for 'Asr prayer had come. The people looked for (water for) Wudu' but they could not find any. Then some (water for) Wudu' was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He put his hand in that vessel and told the poeple to perform Wudu', and I saw water springing from beneath his fingers, until they had all performed Wudu'.

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایسی حالت میں دیکھا کہ عصر کا وقت قریب ہو گیا تھا، تو لوگوں نے وضو کے لیے پانی تلاش کیا مگر وہ پانی نہیں پا سکے، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں تھوڑا سا وضو کا پانی لایا گیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس برتن میں اپنا ہاتھ رکھا، اور لوگوں کو وضو کرنے کا حکم دیا، تو میں نے دیکھا کہ پانی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی انگلیوں کے نیچے سے ابل رہا ہے، حتیٰ کہ ان کے آخری آدمی نے بھی وضو کر لیا ۱؎۔
