It was narrated that Abu Salamah said: I asked 'Aishah about how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Ghusl from Janabah. She said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pour water onto his hands three times, then he would wash his private part, then he would wash his hands, then rinse his mouth and nose, then pour water onto his head three times, then pour water over the rest of his body.'

میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے غسل جنابت کے متعلق پوچھا؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں پر تین دفعہ پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنی شرمگاہ دھوتے، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوتے، پھر کلی کرتے اور ناک میں پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنے سر پر تین بار پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنے پورے جسم پر پانی بہاتے۔
