أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قالت: قالت فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، لَا أَطْهُرُ، أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ قَدْرُهَا فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: Fatimah bint Abi Hubaish said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I do not become pure. Should I stop praying? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'That is a vein and is not menstruation. When your period comes, stop praying, and when the same amount of time as your regular period has passed, then wash the blood from yourself and pray.'

فاطمہ بنت ابوحبیش رضی اللہ عنہا نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں پاک نہیں رہ پاتی ہوں، کیا میں نماز چھوڑ دوں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ تو ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے، حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، جب حیض کا خون آئے تو نماز چھوڑ دو، پھر جب اس کے بقدر ایام گزر جائیں تو خون دھو لو، اور ( غسل کر کے ) نماز پڑھو ۔
