حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: تَخْتَضِبُ الْحَائِضُ؟ فَقَالَتْ: قَدْ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَخْتَضِبُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَنْهَانَا عَنْهُ .

A woman asked 'Aishah: Can a woman who is menstruating, dye her hands? She said: We were with the Prophet and we used to dye our hands, and he did not tell us not to do that.

ایک عورت نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا: کیا حائضہ مہندی لگا سکتی ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے مہندی لگاتے تھے، لیکن آپ ہمیں منع نہ فرماتے ۔
