حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيل الْمَخْزُومِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: جَاءَ مُشْرِكُو قُرَيْشٍ يُخَاصِمُونَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْقَدَرِ، فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ:( يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ ).[ سورة القمر آية 48-49]

The idolators and Quraish came and disputed with the Prophet (ﷺ) concerning the Divine Decree. Then the following verse was revealed: 'The Day they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire (it will be said to them): Taste you the touch of Hell! Verily We have created all things with Qadar. (Divine Decree)'

مشرکین قریش نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر آپ سے تقدیر کے سلسلے میں جھگڑنے لگے، تو یہ آیت کریمہ نازل ہوئی:«يوم يسحبون في النار على وجوههم ذوقوا مس سقر إنا كل شيء خلقناه بقدر» یعنی: جس دن وہ اپنے منہ کے بل آگ میں گھسیٹے جائیں گے، اور ان سے کہا جائے گا: جہنم کی آگ لگنے کے مزے چکھو، بیشک ہم نے ہر چیز کو ایک اندازے پر پیدا کیا ہے ۔
