حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْأَنْصَارَ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ الْأَنْصَارَ أَبْغَضَهُ اللَّهُ ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: قُلْتُ لِعَدِيٍّ: أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنَ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ: إِيَّايَ حَدَّثَ.

The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah will love him, and whoever hates the Ansar, Allah will hate him.' (One of the narrators) Shu'bah said: I said to 'Adi: 'Did you hear that from Bara' bin 'Azib رضی اللہ عنہ ?' He said: 'It was to me that he narrated it.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس شخص نے انصار سے محبت کی اس سے اللہ نے محبت کی، اور جس شخص نے انصار سے دشمنی کی اس سے اللہ نے دشمنی کی ۔ شعبہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عدی سے پوچھا: کیا آپ نے یہ حدیث خود براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنی ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: مجھ ہی سے تو انہوں نے یہ حدیث بیان کی ۔
