وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ: «بِحَسْبِ الْمَرْءِ مِنَ الْكَذِبِ أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ»

He said, Umar bin ul-Khattāb, may Allah be pleased with him, said: ‘It is enough of a lie for a man that he narrates everything he hears’.

کہا : عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا : آدمی کے لیے جھوٹ سے اتنا کافی ہے ( جس کی بنا پر وہ جھوٹا قرار دیا جا سکتا ہے ) کہ وہ ہر سنی ہوئی بات بیان کر دے.
