حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، قَالَ: لَقِيتُ طَاوُسًا فَقُلْتُ: حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ، قَالَ: «إِنْ كَانَ صَاحِبُكَ مَلِيًّا، فَخُذْ عَنْهُ»

He said: ‘I came across Tāwus رضی اللہ عنہ and said: ‘So-and-so narrated to me such-and-such’. Then he said: ‘If your companion is trustworthy, then take from him.’

انھوں نے کہا، میں طاوس رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملا اور ان سے کہا،مجھےشخص نے اس اس طرح حدیث سنائی، انھوں کہا ’اگر تمہارے صاحب ( استاد ) پوری طرح قابل اعتماد ہیں توان سے اخذ کر لو ۔
