حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ كَذَا عِنْدَ الْقَاضِي، وَالصَّوَابُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: خُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ.

An eclipse of the sun took place. the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم prayed along with the people. He stood up for a long time nearly equal to the recitation of Surah al Baqarah. Then bowed. The narrator then transmitted the rest of the tradition.

سورج گرہن لگا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گرہن کی نماز پڑھی اور آپ کے ساتھ لوگوں نے بھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سورۃ البقرہ کی قرآت کے برابر طویل قیام کیا، پھر رکوع کیا، پھر راوی نے پوری حدیث بیان کی۔
