The Book Of The Prayer For Rain (Kitab al-Istisqa') • Hadith 1169

HadithAPI (English)

The people came to the Prophet (ﷺ) weeping (due to drought). He said (making supplication): O Allah! give us rain which will replenish us, abundant, fertilising and profitable, not injurious, granting it now without delay. He (the narrator) said: Thereupon the sky became overcast.

HadithAPI (Urdu)

لوگ (قحط کی وجہ سے) روتے ہوئے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے۔ اس نے (دعا کرتے ہوئے) کہا: اے اللہ! ہمیں بارش عطا فرما جو ہمیں بھر دے، وافر، زرخیز اور نفع بخش، نقصان دہ نہیں، اب بلا تاخیر عطا فرما۔ اس نے (راوی) کہا: اس کے بعد آسمان پر بادل چھا گئے۔
