Umm Qais, daughter of Mihsan, was among the earliest female emigrants who took the oath of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌), and she was the sister of 'Ukkasha bin Mihsan رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌, one amongst the sons of Asad bin Khuzaima. He (the narrator) said: She (Umm Qais) told me that she came to the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) with her son and he had not attained the age of eating food. He (the narrator, 'Ubaidullah), said: She told me that her son passed urine in the lap of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌). The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) sent for water and sprayed it over his garment (over that part which was contaminated with the urine of the child) and he did not wash it thoroughly

حضرت ام قیس بنت محصن ؓ سے ( وہ جو سب سے پہلے ہجرت کرنے والی ان عورتوں میں سے تھیں جنہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی بیعت کی تھی اور عکاشہ بن محصن ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ جو بنواسد بن خزیمہ کے ایک فرد ہیں ، کی بہن تھیں ) روایت کی ، کہا انہوں نے مجھے بتایا کہ وہ نبی اکرمﷺ کی خدمت میں اپنا بیٹا لے کر حاضر ہوئیں جو ابھی اس عمر کو نہ پہنچا تھا کہ کھانا کھا سکے ۔ ( ابن شہاب کے استاد ) عبیداللہ نے کہا : انہوں ( ام قیسؓ ) نے مجھے بتایا کہ میرے اس بیٹے نے رسو ل ا للہﷺ کی گود میں پیشاب کر دیا تو رسو ل اللہ ﷺ نے پانی منگوایا اور اسے اپنے کپڑے پر بہا دیا اور اسے اچھی طرح دھویا نہیں ۔
