حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: ابْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اتَّقُوا اللَّعَّانَيْنِ» قَالُوا: وَمَا اللَّعَّانَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّى فِي طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ، أَوْ فِي ظِلِّهِمْ.

The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Be on your guard against two things which provoke cursing. They (the companions present there) said: Messenger of Allah, what are those things which provoke cursing? He said: Easing on the thoroughfares or under the shades (where they take shelter and rest).

رسول اللہﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’تم دو سخت لعنت والے کاموں سے بچو ۔ ‘ ‘ صحابہ کرام نے عرض کی : اے اللہ کے رسول !سخت لعنت والے وہ دو کام کون سے ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’جو انسان لوگوں کی گزرگاہ میں یا ان کی سایہ دار جگہ میں ( جہاں وہ آرام کرتے ہیں ) قضائے حاجت کرتا ہے ( لوگ ان دونوں کاموں پر اس کو سخت برا بھلا کہتے ہیں ۔ ) ‘ ‘
