HadithAPI (English)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree. The others then asked, "Please inform us what is that tree, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" He replied, "It is the date-palm tree."

( ایک مرتبہ ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا درختوں میں سے ایک درخت ایسا ہے کہ اس کے پتے نہیں جھڑتے اور مسلمان کی بھی یہی مثال ہے بتلاؤ وہ کون سا درخت ہے ؟ یہ سن کر لوگوں کے خیالات جنگل کے درختوں میں چلے گئے ۔ عبداللہ نے کہا کہ میرے دل میں آیا کہ بتلا دوں کہ وہ کھجور کا درخت ہے لیکن ( وہاں بہت سے بزرگ موجود تھے اس لیے ) مجھ کو شرم آئی ۔ آخر صحابہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ! آپ ہی بیان فرما دیجیئے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بتلایا کہ وہ کھجور کا درخت ہے ۔
