It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about bleeding. 'Aishah said: I saw her wash tub filled with blood. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to her: 'Stop (praying) for as long as your period prevents you, then perform Ghusl.'

ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ( استحاضہ کے ) خون کے متعلق پوچھا؟ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے ان کا ٹب خون سے بھرا دیکھا، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: تمہارے حیض کا خون جتنے دن تمہیں ( پہلے صوم صلاۃ سے ) روکے رکھتا تھا، اسی قدر رکی رہو، پھر غسل کرو۔
The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no caller who invites people to a thing but on the Day of Resurrection he will be made to stand next to that to which he called others, even if he only called one another person.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو کوئی بھی کسی چیز کی طرف بلاتا ہے، قیامت کے دن اس حال میں کھڑا کیا جائے گا کہ وہ اپنی دعوت کو لازم پکڑے ہو گا، چاہے کسی ایک شخص نے ایک ہی شخص کو بلایا ہو ۔
Ali bin abi Talib رضی اللہ عنہ said to al-miqdad رضی اللہ عنہ , and made a similar statement as above. Al-Miqdad asked him (the prophet). The prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: he should wash his penis and testicles. Abu Dawud said: The tradition has been narrators by al-Thawri and a group of narrators from Hisham on the authority of his father from al-Miqdad رضی اللہ عنہ , from Ali رضی اللہ عنہ reporting from the prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.

علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا، پھر راوی نے آگے اسی طرح کی روایت ذکر کی، اس میں ہے کہ مقداد نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے دریافت کیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: چاہیئے کہ وہ شرمگاہ ( عضو مخصوص ) اور فوطوں کو دھو ڈالے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے ثوری اور ایک جماعت نے ہشام سے، ہشام نے اپنے والد عروہ سے، عروہ نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے، مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے، اور علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرفوعاً روایت کیا ہے۔
The prophet ﷺ said: "No adulterer is a believers at the time he is committing adultery; no thief is a believer at the time he is stealing; no drinking of wine is a believer at the time he is drinking it; but repentance may be acceptance may be accepted afterwards."

نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ زانی زنا نہیں کرتا کہ جب زنا کر رہا ہو تا ہے تو مومن ہو ، چور چوری نہیں کرتا کہ جب چوری کر رہا ہو تو وہ مومن ہو ، شرابی شراب نہیں پیتا کہ جب وہ پی رہا ہو تو مومن ہو ۔ اور ( ان کو ) بعد میں توبہ کا موقع دیا جاتا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine, which people then act upon, will have a reward equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. And whoever introduces an innovation (Bid'ah) that is acted upon, will have a burden of sins equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from the burden of those who act upon it in the slightest.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے میری سنتوں میں سے کسی سنت کو زندہ کیا، اور لوگوں نے اس پر عمل کیا تو اسے اتنا ثواب ملے گا جتنا اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کو ملے گا، اور اس سے عمل کرنے والوں کے ثواب میں سے کچھ بھی کمی نہ ہو گی، اور جس کسی نے کوئی بدعت ایجاد کی اور لوگوں نے اس پر عمل کیا تو اسے بھی اتنا ہی گناہ ملے گا جتنا اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کو ہو گا، اور اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کے گناہوں میں سے کچھ بھی کمی نہ ہو گی ۔
I Asked al-Miqdad رضی اللہ عنہ (to consult the prophet). He then narrated the tradition bearing the same meaning.
Abu Dawud said; this tradition has been reported with another chain of narrators. This version does not mention the word “testicles”.

میں نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا، پھر راوی نے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث ذکر کی۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اور اسے مفضل بن فضالہ، ایک جماعت، ثوری اور ابن عیینہ نے ہشام سے، ہشام نے اپنے والد عروہ سے، عروہ نے علی بن ابی طالب سے روایت کیا ہے، نیز اسے ابن اسحاق نے ہشام بن عروہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد عروہ سے، عروہ نے مقداد رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور مقداد نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے، مگر اس میں لفظ «أنثييه» دونوں فوطوں کا ذکر نہیں ہے۔
It was narrated from Umm Salamah that a woman suffered constant bleeding at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so Umm Salamah consulted the Prophet (ﷺ) for her. He said: Let her count the number of nights and says that she used to menstruate each month before this happened to her, and let her stop praying for that amount of time each month. Then when that is over let her perform Ghusl, then let her use a pad, and pray.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں ایک عورت کو کثرت سے خون آتا تھا، تو ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اس کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے فتوی پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ مہینہ کے ان دنوں اور راتوں کو شمار کر لے جس میں اس بیماری سے جو اسے لاحق ہوئی ہے پہلے حیض آیا کرتا تھا، پھر ہر مہینہ اسی کے برابر نماز چھوڑ دے، اور جب یہ دن گزر جائیں تو غسل کرے، پھر لنگوٹ باندھے، پھر نماز پڑھے ۔
I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that dies out after I am gone, he will have a reward equivalent to that of those among the people who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. Whoever introduces an innovation (Bid'ah) with which Allah and his Messenger are not pleased, he will have a (burden of) sin equivalent to that of those among the people who act upon it, without that detracting from their sins in the slightest.'

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: جس شخص نے میری سنتوں میں سے کسی ایسی سنت کو زندہ کیا جو میرے بعد مردہ ہو چکی تھی تو اسے اتنا ثواب ملے گا جتنا اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کو ملے گا، اور ان کے ثوابوں میں کچھ کمی نہ ہو گی، اور جس نے کوئی ایسی بدعت ایجاد کی جسے اللہ اور اس کے رسول پسند نہیں کرتے ہیں تو اسے اتنا گناہ ہو گا جتنا اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کو ہو گا، اس سے ان کے گناہوں میں کوئی کمی نہ ہو گی ۔
I felt greatly distressed by the frequent flowing of prostatic fluid. For this reason I used to take a bath very often. I asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about this. He replied: Ablution will be sufficient for you because of this. I asked: Messenger of Allah, what should I do if it smears my clothes. He replied: It is sufficient if you take a handful of water and sprinkle it on your clothe when you find it has smeared it.

مجھے مذی سے بڑی تکلیف ہوتی تھی، باربار غسل کرتا تھا، لہٰذا میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: اس میں صرف وضو کافی ہے ، میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! کپڑے میں جو لگ جائے اس کا کیا ہو گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایک چلو پانی لے کر کپڑے پر جہاں تم سمجھو کہ مذی لگ گئی ہے چھڑک لو ۔
The Prophet observed: There are four characteristics, whoever has them all is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one of its characteristics, he has one of the characteristics of hypocrisy, until he gives it up: When he speaks he lies, when he makes a covenant he betrays it, when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when he disputes he resorts to obscene speech. In the narration of Sufyan (one of the narrators) it is: And if he has one of them, he has one of the characteristics of hypocrisy.

رسو ل اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ چار عادتیں ہیں جس میں وہ ( چاروں ) ہوں گی ، وہ خالص منافق ہو گا اور جس کسی میں ان میں سے ایک عادت ہو گی تو اس میں نفاق کی ایک عادت ہو گی یہاں تک کہ اس سے باز آ جائے ۔ ( وہ چار یہ ہیں : ) جب بات کرے تو جھوٹ بولے اور جب معاہدہ کرے تو توڑ ڈالے ، جب وعدہ کرے تو وعدہ خلافی کرے اور جب جھگڑا کرے تو گالی دے ۔ ‘ ‘ البتہ سفیان کی روایت میں خلقة کے بجائے خصلةکا لفظ ہے ( معنی وہی ہیں ۔ )
It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh who was married to 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf suffered from Istihadah (non-mentrual vaginal bleeding) and did not become pure. Her situation was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: 'That is not menstruation, rather it is a kick [1] in the womb, so let her work out the length of the menses that she used to have, and stop praying (for that period of tie), then after that period of time), then after that let her perform Ghusl for every prayer.' [1] A kick in the womb: in other narrations means A kick from Shaitan, , meaning that the Shaitan uses it to confuse her about her religious commitment.

ام حبیبہ بنت جحش رضی اللہ عنہا کو جو عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ کے عقد میں تھیں استحاضہ ہو گیا ( جس سے ) وہ پاک ہی نہیں رہ پاتی تھیں، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ان کا معاملہ ذکر کیا گیا، تو آپ صلی تخریج دارالدعوہ: تفرد بہ النسائی ( تحفة الأشراف: ۱۷۹۵۴ ) ، مسند احمد ۶/ ۱۲۸، مسند احمد ۶/ ۱۲۹، ویأتي عند المؤلف في الحیض ۴ رقم: ۳۵۶ ( صحیح ) اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، بلکہ وہ رحم میں ( شیطان کی طرف سے ) ایک ایڑ ہے ۱؎ تو وہ اپنے حیض کی مقدار کو جس میں اسے حیض آتا تھا یاد رکھے، پھر اسی کے بقدر نماز چھوڑ دے، پھر اس کے بعد جو دیکھے تو ہر نماز کے وقت غسل کرے ۔
The Messenger of Allah said: (According to one of the narrators) Shu'bah (he) said: 'The best of you' (and according to) Sufyan (he) said: The most excellent of you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it.

I asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as to what makes it necessary to take a bath and about the (prostatic) fluid that flows after taking a bath. He replied: that is called madhi (prostatic fluid). It flows from every male. You should wash your private parts and testicles because of it and perform ablution as you do for prayer.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Three are the signs of a hypocrite: when he spoke he told a lie, when he made a promise he acted treacherously against it, when he was trusted he betrayed.

رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ منافق کی تین علامتیں ہیں : جب بات کرے تو جھوٹ بولے ، جب وعدہ کرے تو ( اس کی ) خلاف ورزی کرے اور جب اسے ( کسی چیز کا ) امین بنایا جائے تو ( اس میں ) خیانت کرے ۔ ‘ ‘
It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh used to suffer from Istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding) for seven years. She asked the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: That is not menstruation, rather it is a vein. Tell her not to pray for the amount of time that her period used to last, then let her perform Ghusl and pray.' She used to perform Ghusl for every prayer.

ام حبیبہ بنت جحش رضی اللہ عنہا کو سات سال تک استحاضہ کا خون آتا رہا، تو انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مسئلہ پوچھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، یہ تو ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے ، چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ اپنے حیض کے ( دنوں کے ) برابر نماز ترک کر دیں، پھر غسل کریں، اور نماز پڑھیں، تو وہ ہر نماز کے وقت غسل کرتی تھیں۔
He asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم: What is lawful for me to do with my wife when she is menstruating? He replied: What is above the waist-wrapper is lawful for you. The narrator also mentioned (the lawfulness of) eating with a woman in menstruation, and he transmitted the tradition in full.
