He who narrated (a Hadith) from the Messenger of Allah (saws) when he considers it to be false
Narrator: 'Ali رضی اللہ عنہ said:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ حَدَّثَ عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ يُرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبَيْنِ .

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ' Whoever narrates a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars. (Either the one who invents a lie or the one who repeats it; both are liars).
