حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ،عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا ذَكَرَتْ نِسَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَأَثْنَتْ عَلَيْهِنَّ، وَقَالَتْ: لَهُنَّ مَعْرُوفًا، وَقَالَتْ: دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: فِرْصَةً مُمَسَّكَةً، قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: كَانَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، يَقُولُ: فِرْصَةً، وَكَانَ أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، يَقُولُ: قَرْصَةً.

Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا made a mention of the women of the Ansar and admired them stating that they had obliged (all Muslims). She then said: One of their women came upon the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. She then reported the rest of the tradition to the same effect; but this version she said the words: a musk-scented piece of cloth. Musaddad said: Abu 'Awanah used the word firsah (i.e. a piece of cloth), but Abu Al-Ahwas used the word qasrah (i.e. a small piece of cloth).

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے انصار کی عورتوں کا ذکر کیا تو ان کی تعریف کی اور ان کے حق میں بھلی بات کہی اور بولیں: ان میں سے ایک عورت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئی ، پھر راوی نے سابقہ مفہوم کی حدیث بیان کی، مگر اس میں انہوں نے«فرصة ممسكة» ( مشک میں بسا ہوا پھاہا ) کہا۔ مسدد کا بیان ہے کہ ابوعوانہ «فرصة» ( پھاہا ) کہتے تھے اور ابوالاحوص «قرصة» ( روئی کا ٹکڑا ) کہتے تھے۔
